Term: Part Time Employee
Definition: A part-time employee has traditionally worked less than a 40 hour work week. Today, though, some employers count employees as full-time if they work 30, 32, or 36 hours a week.
Sentence: As a part-time employee you work day may not exceed 30 hours, per our company policy. If your manager would like you to work more than 30 hours each week, please get permission from an HR representative first.
